STF's poetry night is a monthly gathering of queer, trans and nonbinary poets focused in Southwest Washington. This installment is hosted by Securing Trans Futures, a grassroots, by-for organization supporting trans community members in Southwest Washington with Mutual Aid and social events. Launched in September 2026, this new series creates a recurring space for queer and trans poets to experiment, perform, listen, and connect—whether you’re a seasoned poet, writing your first piece, or simply looking for a room where you can show up as yourself. Open mic slots will be reserved for trans, nonbinary, and queer participants to preserve a predominantly queer space and help ensure a sense of comfort, belonging, and creative freedom. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈💜. This month's event will be held at Tap Union in Downtown Vancouver (1300 Washington Street) in the side room where the old Luepke flower shop use to be). Participation is capped at 30 attendees to ensure a comfortable environment and ensure everyone has a chance to speak.
