Launching alongside Size Doesn’t Matter, MiniBoxx is our way of taking the energy of the gallery beyond our walls and dropping it right into the neighborhood. Think of it as a traveling micro-gallery — compact, curious, and a little bit unexpected.
The MiniBoxx is custom created by Chip Herwegh and is a piece of art in and of itself!
We debut MiniBoxx at the opening at Not Shockboxx, then it finds its first home on May 2 at Curious on Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach. From there, it moves. Each show, a new location. Each location, a new moment to stumble into something you didn’t plan on seeing.
Inside, you’ll find 5–10 small-scale works pulled from each exhibition. The artists? Not announced. Part of the experience is the surprise — a quiet discovery waiting in a storefront window.
It’s art that doesn’t ask for your full attention — until it has it.
