An intimate one-night preview of GRAMMY-nominated artist Jessy Wilson-McFarlin’s new sound work for The Weight of Rest. This sound unveiling and narrative presentation offers a first look into the sonic world behind her sculptural practice, exploring the evolution of voice, memory, and rest. The evening culminates in the premiere of a recorded sound work created for The Weight of Rest. This project is supported by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division and Economic Development Department t.
