PHOTO-synthesis is a springtime outdoor film photography gathering designed to bring Bronx-based womxn, femmes, and nonbinary photographers (and the photo-curious) into intentional community through analog practice, movement, and experimentation.
Grounded in the transformative metaphor of photosynthesis, this program invites participants to use photography as a catalyst for connection.
Through a structured creative challenge, attendees will expose an entire roll of film while engaging with prompts that encourage collaboration, care, and place-based storytelling.
The completed roll will then be used in a collective film soup process, extending the conceptual language of homemade into participatory experience.
