What is RodCon?
Founded in 2021, RodCon is an annual convention for fans of Twitch streamer and podcaster Rodney Berry (Casino Boys, American Arts & Culture Review, Power Violence, etc.) The convention has previously been held in Los Angeles and featured events with music and comedy at Mid City Yacht Club (2023) and Ham & Eggs Tavern (2022). In 2025 RodCon will take on a new form: a mobile festival starting in LA (Union Station) and traveling to Oceanside via train 🚂. Following a 2-hour ride down the coast on Metrolink’s scenic Orange County Line attendees will enjoy time at the beach as well as art, food and music while exploring Oceanside on foot.🦶While at it’s core the convention remains centered around Rodney Berry and the friendship amongst his fans, this year’s event is particularly focused on celebrating Southern California’s landscape and culture including art, comedy, food, music, beer, the beach and trains. Departing Train Details: Meet at LA Union Station at 8:15am by the Union Station piano. Metrolink train departs at 8:40am (OC1660) and arrives in Oceanside 10:48am. Train passes through Anaheim, Buena Park, Orange County, etc. on the way to Oceanside.
Return Train Details: Returning Train leaves Oceanside Transit Center at 5:23pm (OC1667), arrives in LA 7:38pm.
Train Tickets: Metrolink "SoCal Day Pass" costs $10 and can be purchased in advance with the Metrolink mobile app.
What to expect: The Oceanside portion of the event will feature a trip to the beach and we recommend bringing beachwear, towel, sunscreen, etc. We'll be walking to several locations around Oceanside (restaurants, breweries, local landmarks) throughout the day so bring comfortable footwear.
