BIPOC Sapphic Picnic Dayyyy! 🌞🌞 Spend a day in the (hopefully!!!) sun with other Sapphics of Colour on June 21st to kick off pride week, make friends to go to events with and overall feel strength in community <3 2PM onwards at Trinity Bellwoods (Accessible by Queen & Dundas St W) 🔔🪵🙏 Exact location will be sent out on the day!! BYO everything you’d need for a day in the park 🧺🍷🍃🍄🍕🧃🍪🏈 We def don’t discourage sharing among the community 🫶 Since Trinity is obv a public space, we can’t really control who’s there but we encourage BIPOC Sapphics to take up space! We’ll be going early to scout an easily accessible spot and encourage y’all to come early to help us secure it 🥰 We have sm ideas for activities like tarot, DJs so you can leave the speakers at home 👀, perhaps games?? but we are super open to ideas, feel free to DM with thots! 💌 More info to come but imp notes; This gathering is intended for BIPOC Sapphics. BIPOC being Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour. If you do not fit that definition, this is not for you. We understand partners/roommates/friends of BIPOC can be white, but this page is a response to most Sapphic/Queer events being white dominated and bringing a white person wouldn’t keep up in the spirit of that. There are plenty of pride events that white people are welcome at and we suggest you take them to that 🙏 This would be the best practice for any white allies as well 🙂‍↕️ Same goes for CIS men, whether they’re your partner/friend/roommate/no1 ally… There are plenty of queer events you can take him to during the upcoming week, but ideally leave your man at home for this one 🙏 Do it for the community 🙂‍↕️ We’re so looking forward to hanging pre pride week and starting things off on a sweet n sapphic note <3 See you there!
