We’re kicking things off in a relaxed, social setting with a casual Q&A and foundational skills session. Over a drink, we’ll cover essential knots, gear basics, anchor components, and the big-picture systems that make outdoor climbing safe and efficient.
You’ll get hands-on with equipment, ask questions freely, and start building the mental framework you’ll apply outside. This session also sets the tone for the weekend—helping you connect with others and find potential climbing partners.
This session is free to attend. Donations are encouraged, with proceeds split between supporting future programming through The Outside Social Club and local outdoor access initiatives like The Great Malden Outdoors.
