˜◡˜ʘ‿ʘArtist FAITH-ANN YOUNG joins contemporary floral designer VAL JURADO for a one day tactile installation at PARK + LEX STUDIOS — SANCTUARY : SANCTUARY CITY - creating a much needed, temporary sanctuary for calm, reflection and connection for our community in this tender moment for Los Angeles.
Young’s sheer textile sculptures will drift overhead Jurado’s vibrant floral installation and altar, creating a tactile, soothing space to honor both the spirit of the city and those affected this year by the fires and ICE raids.
Guests are invited to rest, relax, process, journal, and listen to ambient sound meditations. Visitors may add to the altar with a candle, note, or offering, shaping the work into a living monument of collective memory and care. Throughout the day, there will be journaling, meditations, libations, + a sound bath.
Come and experience this place of rest + repair, a much needed gift to the community in need.

PROGRAMMING / SCHEDULE:
12-1 PM LADW Opening Preview / Sneak Peek
1:30 PM Opening Ceremony with Danielle Karuna + Harmonium
3:30 PM Judson Emery - Somatic Sound bath performance (20 mins)
4 PM Shizuka Kusayanagi - Artist doing 1:1 intuitive readings + drawings for those interested
5 PM Eboné McCloud (Founder of Good Thoughts Tea Co + Reiki + Akashic Healer) activating space with breathwork and tea ritual
5:30-7:30 PM+ - Closing Communal Gathering + Celebration of all friends, loved ones and participants who made this possible.

PARKING: 2-hr street parking + $5 paid parking lot on 2nd street.
ENTRANCE: Buzz Park + Lex to enter Building.
Studio is on 2nd floor via the staircase on right, or take freight elevator and Wheelchair lift.
