Come chill and doodle while we do a fun art exercise inspired by a public artwork called “The Circus Comes to Town” in Woodhaven, Queens! Whether you’re looking to wind down from work or just wanna flex your creative muscles, join us at the library, the home to one of the coolest circus archives in NYC. We’ll use their vintage collection as creative fuel to stretch our imaginations together.
What to expect:
•A playful and unique drawing prompt inspired by the circus
•A welcoming community of makers of all levels
•Limited art supplies like pens and markers
•The NYPL’s many resources of inspiration
What to bring:
•Your Imagination
•Art supplies you’d like to use
We’ll end with a casual show-and-tell and enjoy the library’s extended hours.
