There are parts of you you’ve learned are “too much.” Too intense. Too overwhelming. Too messy to make sense of. Too inconvenient to let exist. Over time, many of us have learned to contain them — to quiet them, override them, or make them more reasonable than we actually feel. So the intensity stays. Held in the body. Revisited in the mind. Waiting for a space where it can finally move. What if these moments are not a problem to solve? What if they are expressions of something within us that simply has not yet been met, felt, or allowed? When there is enough safety, both internally and around us, emotional intensity can begin to shift. What once felt overwhelming can move, soften, and resolve — often more quickly than we expect. Permission to Lose It is a tender, unapologetic, experiential space for exploring this possibility. Through somatic practices and relational exercises, we will create the conditions for what has been held inside to be met with presence and care. Together, we will explore: – how emotional intensity lives and moves in the body – what happens when we allow ourselves to feel without immediately containing or explaining – how to stay connected to ourselves while something strong is moving – the quiet intelligence within our most overwhelming moments This is not about acting from reactivity. It's about becoming less afraid of yourself. It is about having a space to let things move, so you can show up in your life with more clarity, and develop a deeper capacity to be with yourself. You may leave with: – a softer, more spacious relationship to emotional intensity – a greater sense of trust in your inner experience – an embodied sense of relief and settling – a deeper connection to yourself and others
