EBPG December 8th - Potluck + Skill share: Using local Time Banks
Monday, December 8th, 2025
5:45 pm Doors Open
6–8:30 PM Program & Socializing
Location:
a PLACE for Sustainable Living (address shows above after RSVP, reach out if you don't want to RSVP on here!).
Please note that this is our last Guild meeting at PLACE :( We will be shifting to another location for our January meeting - stay tuned!
Bring:
A dish to share (please label allergens), your reusable plate/cup/utensils, flyers or resources, and your ideas!
The Permaculture Guild is excited to feature Timebanking this month. Timebanking allows us to trade our skills and time with a whole community of folks instead of one-to-one trading so we can benefit from a larger pool of skills, resources, needs and wants - all outside of the monetary system. The currency becomes our time and how much of it we have shared with the TimeBank.
We will hear from a representative from Simbi, and learn about how to work with their TimeBank locally.(https://simbi.com). In addition, we will explore different TimeBank models and discuss in break-out groups how this might work best in our lives and in our permaculture community. We plan to continue featuring TimeBanking, bartering and mutual aid as important community resilience tools and we invite you to let yourself be inspired, curious and see where that leads you.
Evening Flow:
★ 6:00–6:45 PM | Eating and connecting with new and old friends!
★ 6:45–7:30 PM | Announcements and presentation about Time Banks.
★ 8:30–9:00 PM | Cleanup & hangout
