In 2025, a record-breaking number of Americans reported wanting to move abroad permanently (40% women, 19% men), and the U.S. experienced its first net negative migration since the 1930s. This year, Mary Beth Snodgrass, the founder and Managing Director of the PAC, traveled abroad in Portugal, Spain and Morocco, exploring life as a 'senior' digital nomad and the possibilities of moving abroad. With a masters in international affairs and extensive prior travels in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe, including a year abroad in Spain years ago, Mary Beth dusted off her passport and re-discovered the power and purpose of travel.
