In every moment, we can birth ourselves anew. This work explores improv as a way to playfully uplift and elevate our state. We'll dive into improv activities and principles to let go of contrived social personas and unlock the liberation of our creative essences.
We have the capacity to create whole worlds with our creativity, and express ourselves in a multitude of playful, inventive ways. And yet we mostly tend to walk around in the same persona role that we've agreed to play for most of our lives. Improv reconnects us to our power to re-create ourselves in any moment, blossoming forth in inspired, alive new ways.
Participate at your own level -- no one is ever obligated to do anything, and there's no requirement to get up in front of everyone. This work combines playful improv connection games with authentic relating, dance, voice and movement practices to help us reawaken to our full expressive potential.
Most of us have shut down aspects of our creativity due to judgments from others and societal expectations to conform or fit in. This course is designed to foster a sense of acceptance, care, and trust as a group, so that sharing in front of each other becomes easier and easier as bonds form between the participants.
