Join Queer Birders of Cincinnati for a Bird Banding Demo. with Dr. Ron Canterbury, an ornithologist at U.C. The demonstration will take place at the U.C. Center for Field Studies (photo attached) on Sunday, April 5th from 7:30-10:00 a.m. ✨

What is bird banding you may ask? Bird banding is the placement of a unique band or ring around a bird’s leg. Banding allows biologists to better understand the movements, behavior, and survival of birds during migration 🐤
