Get ready to celebrate Pride Month with a little twist on our Gay Bar Fun Run, all while supporting an incredible cause! Join us on June 23rd in running through the streets of Brooklyn, per usual, with our 3 or 5-mile run. Afterward, stick around for a fantastic evening of raffles, drinks, and a fundraiser benefiting the Ali Forney Center (AFC). Can't join us but still want to make an impact early? Did you know that a staggering 40% of youths experiencing homelessness in NYC identify as LGBTQ+? Even more heartbreaking, 80% of the youth AFC serves have been kicked out of their homes and abandoned by their families simply for being who they are. Come at 7:30pm! 🤝 All people & all paces welcome 🎒 Bag drop available --- On a personal note, I have been involved with AFC for years and have volunteered in their shelters. AFC goes above and beyond, creating pathways for these youths to reclaim their lives and become independent adults. They give queer kids a chance at life, something I believe everyone in our community deserves. It is truly special to have an event that supports the queer economy through local businesses (shoutout to the Exley!), fosters community through running, and helps shape a brighter future for LGBTQ+ kids.
