Picnic in the Palms: A Family Scavenger Hunt

:◗We’re so excited to see everyone tomorrow at Agua Caliente Park! 🌴
I went out to the park to scope things out, and we’ll be gathering at the picnic tables near the parking lot. There’s a nice grassy area, some shade, and plenty of room for everyone to hang out.
I’ll have pasta salad, a big fruit tray, donuts, Cheez-Its and granola bars to get our little potluck started. Feel free to bring a snack or dish to share if you’d like — it’s optional! Please bring your own water/drinks.
We’ll have our Agua Caliente scavenger hunt as a fun activity for the kids! The park is super stroller friendly and has a big grassy area for the kids to play, so feel free to bring any toys or outdoor things they enjoy. There’s also an abundance of beautiful wildlife and plants to see and explore while we all hang out, meet new families and build some new connections.
One little change from my original post: I had planned to bring healthy snacks for the birds and turtles, but I learned the park is asking visitors not to feed the wildlife to help keep the animals healthy. So we’ll skip feeding them and just enjoy spotting and watching them instead!
The whole reason for putting this together is to create more opportunities for local families to connect and build a village. I’m so happy to be doing this alongside Village Reset and Mothership Collective, two communities working to help families connect and find their people.
