book club, april
we're reading James Gleick's Chaos this month.
if you've ever wondered how a dripping faucet became a field of mathematics, or why weather forecasts break down past a certain horizon, this is the book. it's from 1987 and it reads like the story of people who saw something nobody else could see yet.
find it on Libby - 3 copies at SF public library, plus EPUBs. also on Amazon. come having read whatever you got through. we'll be discussing the first couple of chapters.
format:
2–3pm reading time
3–4pm discussion (and more reading, honestly).
some snacks provided. bring your own if you want more.
