Once a month, we try a new restaraunt for dinner. This isn’t just meeting at a restaurant and ordering dinner. Think food tour meets book club. Each month has a theme and a short lesson, reading, or set of facts to go along with it. We might explore how mezcal is made, try specific craft beers, or dig into the history behind a dish. Think hole-in-the-wall spots, mom-and-pop restaurants, and venturing into neighborhoods you might not regularly visit. Most meals will be shared family-style, so come ready to try things, pass things around, and participate in immersive dinner conversations. You do need to be curious, open-minded, and willing to participate. Spots are very limited, and reservations will be made in advance. This is a club, please join with the intention of routinely coming. If you’re excited to explore, learn, and try new things, you’ll probably fit right in. We will have a google form routinely sent out to pick our next spot, discuss budgets, etc. A few things to know: • We go far. Queens, deep Brooklyn and neighborhoods you may not normally visit are absolutely on the table.  • We eat adventurously. Picky eaters probably won’t have a great time.  • We share. Most meals will be family-style, so come prepared to try things and pass things around.  • We participate. There will be something to read, learn, or discuss each month.  • We keep it accessible. The goal is great food, not expensive restaurants. • We split down the middle. Because we’ll be ordering as a group and sharing a little bit of everything, the check will be split evenly among everyone attending. Each restaurant will have a set per-person budget that we’ll stick to when placing our group order. Alcoholic drinks will be included in that budget, since many dinners will include a drink pairing or something we’re specifically trying together. If you want additional drinks or something outside of the group order, we’ll coordinate with the restaurant, when possible, to have those items billed separately.
