Come shake off the winter in this May Day gathering of movement, music, art, and community. Together, we’ll celebrate spring, renewal, and the power of coming together while supporting a cause rooted in justice and advocacy. This evening is designed to feed both your body and creative soul. We believe that movement unlocks creativity, creativity builds connection, and connection is how we show up for each other and for the world. All proceeds benefit the Immigrant Defense Project, a nonprofit providing legal defense and advocacy for immigrants. Members of the IDP team will be there during the evening to speak about their work, share ways to stay engaged, and help connect the event to the broader impact of community support. For more info on the amazing work they do, see here: immigrantdefenseproject.org. The evening: 🧘 Guided Meditation & Yoga Flow — 6:15-7:30 Led by Julie Kerner. Doors open at 6pm. We begin upstairs at 6:20 with breath and movement to help you arrive fully. Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours. 🎶 Collective Sound — 7:15-7:30 As we come out of savasana, we’ll move into a brief shared music experience led by Aidan Davis, with simple tones, humming, and optional group singing. It’s a chance to ground, connect, and enjoy making sound together. No singing experience needed. 🎨 Watercolor Workshop — 7:30- 8:30 Led by Genia Blaser. Your body is warm, your mind is open — now let it flow onto paper. 🎵 Live Music — Led by Aidan Davis throughout the watercolor workshop and evening. Depending on the energy in the room, there may also be opportunities for a few curated community music moments. 🥂 Food, Drinks & Community — Light bites and drinks available for purchase. Stick around, meet your neighbors, make new friends. All proceeds benefit the Immigrant Defense Project, a nonprofit providing legal defense and advocacy for immigrants. Members of the IDP team will be there during the evening to speak about their work, share ways to stay engaged, and help connect the event to the broader impact of community support. Leave with new connections and the feeling like you did something that mattered. Tickets range from $30-45, see ticket options below:
