EBPG Fall Campout: Bio-Char!
Ukiah
Come join the EBPG for a follow up to our summer campout. We will be hosted by Chris, an arborist and technical climber by trade, at his 55 acre off-grid homestead in the mountains of Ukiah (2.5 hr drive from Oakland/East Bay). The property includes a small cabin, a yurt for gathering, a portable mill next door, biochar capabilities, compost toilet and more.
This weekend Chris will be hosting a biochar workshop, led by local expert Peter Roediger. We'll all get to see the black gold get made from start to finish, and take some home. There will be opportunities to see the creek (last campout we did some erosion mitigation with some logs and chainsaws), to get your hands dirty and other sorts of merriment. Probably a brief tour / update on prescribed burn prep, possibly a portable mill demo.
Did I mention the food?
Omnivore menus (Gluten free and vegan options available) meals and snacks will be provided for Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast.
