Come out for Astoria Gay Book Club! June 18th, 6:15pm at Fresco's Grand Cantina!!!! Discussion with author Eric Schnall followed by social. Thank you to Fresco's for hosting us. We encourage folks to support our local LGBT and POC owned businesses :) We’re excited to host Eric Schnall, author of Make Envy on Your Disco, for our first author event as part of our summer series. This is a great chance to support a New York queer author and show up for queer books in Astoria. Book club aims to be a supportive and welcoming space for queer and LGBTQ+ men, but every book lover is welcome :) Our monthly meetups strive to be low-key, social, and inclusive. If you love books and want to build community, we’d love to have you there. The evening will start with a short Q&A with Eric, followed by audience questions and then open social time. You do not need to have read the book to attend—just come curious! Discussions will be respectful, open-minded, and fun. Rudeness, hateful rhetoric, and disruptive behavior are no-gos.
