Build a Marketplace in 3 Hours - A Hands-On Lab
The best marketplaces often begin with something one person understands unusually well: a local community, professional ecosystem, personal passion, specialized service, unusual collection, or underserved group.
Bring a passion, profession, neighborhood, subculture, or overlooked ecosystem. Leave with the first working version of your own marketplace.
Your idea could become the next big marketplace business—or a valuable hyperlocal exchange built specifically for a community you understand better than anyone else.
If you’ve ever thought, “Someone should build a marketplace for this,” this workshop is your opportunity to become that someone.
Join Exonome for a hands-on SF Tech Week Marketplace Launch Lab. You’ll turn your idea into a working, branded marketplace where people can discover providers, resources, products, services, experiences, and one another. No coding skills are required.
During the session, you’ll define:
• Who your marketplace serves
• What participants can offer or discover
• How each side creates value for the others
• The categories and experiences your marketplace needs
• Whether it should generate revenue, meaningful connections, or both
• Who you should invite first
Then you’ll build and launch the first version using Exonome.
This is not a pitch competition, startup lecture, or theoretical business-model exercise. It is a working session designed to help you leave with something tangible.
Bring your laptop, your idea, and your knowledge of a community or ecosystem. Exonome will provide the marketplace infrastructure and hands-on guidance.
Space is limited so every participant can receive individual support.
This event is a part of #SFTechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
