How Humans Experience AI (Design Workshop) - #NYCTechWeek

Hosted by Ishiyetaa (Design Labs at Tequity)
◕‿↼
Your AI & Product works. But does your user trust it? Most founders optimize for capability. The best founders optimize for human experience. The difference is whether someone uses your product once or makes it part of their life. In this 90-minute working session, we'll take a small group of product founders through the same process Tequity uses with its clients: - Map the user's world — who they are, what they're doing when they encounter your product, and what they're feeling - Identify the trust gaps — where your product asks users to make a leap of faith, and whether you've earned it - Build a design brief — a one-page document that captures the decisions your product needs to make about how it presents itself to humans This is hands-on. Bring your product (or your idea). You'll work on your own company with guidance from our team. You'll leave with a design brief you can hand to your designer (or Claude), your dev team, or yourself — and start using immediately. Who this is for: — Founders at the zero-to-one stage building AI products — Technical founders who know their product works but aren't sure it communicates well — Anyone who's gotten the feedback "the product is powerful but confusing" Limited to 10 people so everyone gets individual attention. Led by Design Labs at Tequity, a design and engineering studio that partners with early-stage startups. Design Labs has worked with 25+ 0-1 companies in 2025 alone that were born out of Harvard, Stanford and MIT - helping them find PMF. We also run a grant program where qualifying startups get credits covering 50% of their monthly design and engineering costs with us. Coffee provided. This event is a part of NYC Tech Week - a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
