48-Hour Systems Sprint: Fix a Broken Startup Stack - #BOSTechWeek

Hosted by
This is a two-day build sprint for engineering students who want to work on real startup problems instead of fake case prompts. Before the event, we’ll collect 3 to 5 real technical issues from early-stage startups and open-source projects. Things like messy data pipelines, onboarding flows that don’t track correctly, internal tools that break when teams scale, or automation that no one has time to fix. Teams of 3 to 5 students will pick one real problem and build a working fix over 48 hours. Every team must ship something concrete: a GitHub repo, short technical write-up, and live demo. The focus is working software, not slide decks. The event is alcohol-free and hosted on campus in Kendall Square. Who is this event for? CS, data science, and engineering students in the Boston area, plus recent grads within three years who still want to build. This is for people who like debugging real systems, writing code, and shipping things that actually run. Attendees will be verified using .edu emails or graduation year. This event is a part of #BOSTechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
