Pride in Central Park: The LGBTQ+ History of New York’s Iconic Park tour from 2:00–3:30 p.m. ET. Central Park is probably not top-of-mind for most when thinking about LGBTQ+ Pride in the city. However, the city’s famous green space not only played a significant role in LGBTQ+ culture, but it also benefitted from the creativity of queer artists who are mostly unknown to us in the 21st century. $30 per person. We will meet to the left of the awning at the main entrance of Tavern on the Green (enter on West 67th Street). The tour will finish up near Strawberry Fields at West 72nd Street, close to the site of our post-tour get-together. Even if you don’t come on the tour, register to attend the meet up after! 2. Get-together at the Amsterdam Ale House from 3:30–5:30 p.m. ET. Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited. Please register by June 22. This event is wheelchair accessible.
