Join IPF Atid Bay Area for the next installment of our Book Club as we read and discuss Catch-67, the acclaimed work of Israeli philosopher and public intellectual Micah Goodman.
Blending history, political philosophy, and contemporary analysis, Goodman invites readers to move beyond familiar talking points and engage with the tensions that continue to define Israeli public life. The book explores the values and tradeoffs at the heart of the conflict, asking how Israel can remain both secure and democratic while grappling with competing national aspirations.
At this gathering, we'll share dinner and engage in a thoughtful conversation about the book's themes: the legacy of 1967, competing visions of Zionism, security and democracy, and the difficult choices that continue to shape Israel's future. Together, we'll reflect on how Goodman's framework encourages a more nuanced understanding of one of the most important—and challenging—issues facing Israel today.
