A night of film celebration and community, commemorating the release of our indie film magazine.
Harum Scarum Magazine is L.A.'s New Favorite Film Rag. Each issue will focus on a theme: the first being The City of Angels. Films such as The Long Goodbye, Strange Days, Night of the Comet, Southland Tales, and more are lovingly analyzed, dissected, and thoroughly geeked out about.
In the back of the mag, there is a humble directory of young, creative and promising production companies. This is what it's all about. We are the heirs to this post posty post Hollywood hellscape and at Harum Scarum, we intend to start acting like it. That means doing our part to foster a community of collaborative, creative, competitive, and revolutionary filmmakers. And this event is PHASE ONE, babay!
So if you feel the same, or just think movies are pretty cool, come on out.
