Born in Argentina more than 20 years ago, Ekoparty has become a key part of the country’s cybersecurity ecosystem and one of the most recognized community-driven platforms in Latin America. What started as a technical conference evolved into a space that connects researchers, startups, companies, founders, and emerging talent, helping showcase the depth of Argentina’s cybersecurity culture and technical expertise. Today, Argentina represents one of the most distinctive cybersecurity ecosystems in the region, combining highly skilled professionals, a strong research and hacker culture, and a growing number of companies building globally competitive products and services. From independent researchers to established firms, the country has become an important source of innovation and talent for the international cybersecurity industry. This session will explore how Argentina built this ecosystem, the role community platforms like Ekoparty played in fostering collaboration and visibility, and why the country has become a strategic opportunity for U.S. companies, investors, and organizations looking to connect with Latin American cybersecurity talent and innovation. It will also cover how Ekoparty expanded beyond Argentina to strengthen regional and international connections, including its recent launch in the United States with Ekoparty Miami. Agenda: - Leonardo Pigñer — CEO & Co-Founder of Ekoparty I “Ekoparty: Building Argentina's Cybersecurity Ecosystem” - Daniela Valor — Talent Director at Ekoparty I “Hacking the Cybersecurity Talent Gap: Connecting Hacker Talent, Companies and Founders” - Federico Joel Hombre — CTO & Co-Founder of Whalemate I “Atar con Alambre: Why Argentina thinks with a hacker mindset” - Jorge L.
