Nou Ritmo A Rum & Coke x Sonidos De Miami Experience Hosted by AKILA Projects Rum & Coke is a Miami-based DJ collective dedicated to exploring the Afro-Caribbean roots of Latin popular music and their deep intersections with African sound. Known for their all-vinyl sets, the collective curates nights that honor the original rhythms, textures, and histories behind the music that continue to shape dance floors across the world. For this special night, AKILA Projects and The Herd are excited to join Rum & Coke and Sonidos De Miami in celebrating the sounds and cultures that live at the heart of Miami. It’s a gathering rooted in music, vinyl culture, and the dance floors that connect our communities. Nou Ritmo is a journey to the roots — an all-vinyl odyssey through the Afro-Caribbean rhythms and African sounds that gave birth to the music we move to today. This is not just a night out. It’s a remembrance. It’s an affirmation. From the golden era of Salsa, Cumbia, and Merengue to the hypnotic pulse of Soukous, Afrobeat, and Konpa — every record played is a conversation between continents, between ancestors, between now and then.
