We will be holding a candlelight vigil in the memory of Kris and Dhruva Chellani at the Peace and Justice Plaza in downtown Chapel Hill this Saturday, September 30th at 7 PM.
Kris and Dhruva Chellani died in a car accident on September 6th.
The father-son duo were gems to the Chapel Hill community; known for their relentless positivity, ambition and love. Dhruva owned and ran Classic Carolina, an apparel store on Franklin Street and had forged close friendships and camaraderie with much of the Franklin Street community. Kris was a gifted leader and natural entrepreneur, first at Chapel Hill High, later at UNC and eventually all over the world via his large platform on social media.
The two were known for building bridges between people, their unwavering selflessness, kindness and inspiring nothing but the best out of their loved ones.
The Town of Chapel Hill is graciously supporting a candlelight vigil to honor and commemorate the memory of Kris and Dhruva. The vigil will be held on Saturday evening at the Peace and Justice Plaza in downtown Chapel Hill - mere feet from Classic Carolina.
Let us use this occasion to unite as a community and remember the exceptional legacy of Kris and Dhruva. Candles will be provided.
Parking is available at the Wallace Parking Deck as well as on nearby side streets. Please RSVP to this Partiful invite so the Town can get a sense of headcount. Please consider wearing a mask.
