Exceptet is closing our mini-tour of the Northeast at a special house event in Ridgewood, NY, presented by Long Echo Records (longechorecords.com).
We'll be premiering a new arrangement of Laure M. Hiendl's "In Abeyance." Hiendl uses a ten-second excerpt from Ralph Vaughan Williams's ballet "Job" to create what they describe as "a long copy & paste process [that is] not a concert piece in the narrow sense, [but] an attempt to create a sonic 'animated still-life'...that exists in time and space and which is presented from various, ever so slightly shifting angles."
