Join us for SYNC UP: Resonance of Heritage - an evening curated by RASMi and WANAWAL of films, flavours, sound and conversation.
Reflecting on modes of cultural expression, memory and storytelling throughout South Asia and West Asia/North Africa, the evening will feature:
• a film screening and discussion with Hark1karan and Tsunaina, exploring their artistic practises, moderated by author and editor Dalia Al-Dujaili
• In collaboration with sound artist Olivia Melkonian, RASMi (Sunayah) and WANAWAL (Êvar) will host an immersive listening session ft cassette tapes, field recordings and personal archival sounds from South Asia, West Asia & North Africa, centering themes of joy, love, and resistance. Throughout the session, canapés will be served by guest chef Ayesha Erkin created in response to the activation, offering a multi-sensory experience rooted in practices of memory preservation and heritage continuation.
Throughout the evening, you can also expect music from special guest DJ’s (tba). We're so excited for you to join us!
