Join UVC for an intimate conversation with two women who have spent decades building homes, families, and hope for vulnerable children in Hong Kong and China.
Sky Siu leads Mother's Choice in its mission to see every child in a loving family, overseeing the organization's core services and mobilizing a community of staff, volunteers, and supporters across Hong Kong.
Kit Ying Chan began that work in 1988 as Mother's Choice's first social worker, and in 1995 founded Mother's Love, the first joint venture between Hong Kong and China dedicated to orphan care — pioneering foster care and specialized support for children with special needs that continues to this day.
Together, they'll share the story of Mother's Love and the role community has played in sustaining it over the years, along with the programs that support families to stay together and support birth parents who do need to relinquish a child to adoption. None of this happens without a village — people willing to show up with resources, prayer, and, most importantly, loving homes.
This is a space for anyone curious to learn more, and for anyone wanting to be a stronger source of support for families and individuals navigating adoption, from either side of the story.
