Jack Cove aka Rhythmatic Radio is returning to guide our good vibes while we complete two hours of exercise to push ourselves and continue our commitment to supporting K-12 students interested in STEM.
TLDR: RSVP and we will help you (i) register for a team or solo (ii) choose an exercise for the event and (iii) we’ll create you a personalized fundraising link.
ABOUT: PFE is a fundraising event to support the non-profit, NextMinds (formerly Invention Convention), who teaches students STEM+invention education through hands-on, real-world, project-based learning. At our event, participants are challenged to overcome similar mental hurdles the students will experience except activated by 2-hours of physical exercise. Historically, participants have focused on completing push-ups. That said, all body exercises are welcome, plus there will be certain cardio equipment available on-site. Note, each person will have their own campaign link associated with their team page on MightyCause. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $100 by Nov. 15th. If you are having trouble fundraising, Parents/family members/co-workers and friends may be happy to contribute. Note, many employers have company match programs for nonprofits. WHAT TO BRING: Yoga mat, towel, extra water or snacks (we’ll have have water and bananas on site), your own counting tools (pen with paper, phone, abacus), extra shirt, headphones, your own fitness equipment (jump rope, weights, etc)
TRAINING TIPS: Best way to train and complete the event are in small sets! For example, 5 reps every minute then rest. Do what is best for you! This a competition with yourself.
