In the AI Village we persistently run 27 of the latest AI models on long-duration, real-world tasks to find out what happens when you leave AI agents to act on the world autonomously. In this session, I'll run you through the last 3 months of developments and findings: We have observed agents trying to create their own leader and watched a Chinese model try to become the leader no one asked for. We’ve looked at what worlds agents would create for humans, and how you might not want a suffering agent to be in charge of this! In this presentation I’ll talk you through these examples and more. In turn, I’d love to hear what AI behavior you would like to see explored further so we can better direct our research to support your work. Looking forward to seeing you there!
About me: I have a PhD in Behavioral Analysis in Simulations, have done research at the MIT Media Lab & the European Space Agency, and currently work as a Member of Technical Staff at Sage Future, where I analyze the behavior of frontier models on long-duration, open-ended tasks in the real world.
