An recent historical exhibition of artifacts, signage, and works from the city five years ago, when “pandemic” became a household term.
Many of COVID’s effects remain with us, but its affects quickly became rare: the futile “masks required” sign still stuck in an elevator, the sidewalk residue of a social distancing dot’s underside, a NY PAUSE compliance proof tucked behind a bodega counter in front of an I Love New York More Than Ever poster.
This an exhibition of COVID’s material legacy.
