Pancakes* with PENSA is a breakfast gathering of 10–12 hardware startup leaders (*full disclosure: no pancakes are served). It is an open discussion and a great forum for learning and sharing. Our intent is to help support leaders of hardware start-ups and introduce them to other leaders, to learn from each other’s experiences and create a network.
The topics we discuss are determined by the attendees joining the breakfast, to ensure an interesting and rewarding conversation.
Topics of Pancakes* have included:
· Funding a hard goods business
· Pricing strategies
· Methods of scaling a hard goods business
· Manufacturing abroad vs in the US
· Prototyping vs. Small-scale manufacturing
· Repurposing existing technology vs creating custom solutions
· Methods of getting consumer and customer feedback
