Spiral Binding Workshop with DCTE x dykes day

DCTE is collabing with dykes day to host a spiral binding workshop!
The workshop will be held at Cleveland Park Library on Monday, July 6th from 5:30 - 7:30pm
This event is mask required 😷 and space is limited.
Event Info:
A workshop on the basics of spiral binding. It’ll feature a tutorial on manual spiral binding using household and DIY tools, and a tutorial on electronic spiral binding, using a TruBind machine.
Participants are encouraged to bring unfinished zines or paper projects they would like to bind or experiment with. dykes day will provide extra paper and zine making materials, and binding materials. Participants will have time to practice both methods and play with different modes of spiral binding.

Fabiola Ching is: a writer, editor, better on paper. She stewards the lesbian anthology + local collective dykes day, alongside Mayah Monet Lovell.
Accessibility:
This workshop is mask required. We will have KN95 masks available for all participants. If it is accessible to you, we encourage you to test within 24 hours before attending the event. The library has ISO-Aire commercial air purifiers in its meeting rooms that the workshop will take place in.
The library is wheelchair accessible and has elevators to the different floors. The closest metro to the library is the Cleveland Park metro station. This station is also wheelchair accessible. The library is 0.1 miles from the metro and has sidewalks and is mostly flat.
