Waves of Color’s PDX Chapter July Surf Meet-Up
Join Waves of Color for our July surf meet-up hosted by Volunteer, Mel Tran ✨
Date: Saturday, July 11th
Location: Indian Beach, Ecola State Park, Oregon
Time: 9 am to 12 pm
Cost: Free community event! RSVP & fill out event waiver linked. We have a new waiver form, once you fill out, it covers you for 2026 events with Waves of Color! 🏄♀️
What to bring:
• Surfboard + wetsuit (cold water gear)
• Sunscreen + water
• Warm clothes for after
• Snacks or a picnic for post-surf
Need gear? Let us know in the waiver form and we can help connect you with community boards or local rentals.
Who is this event for: This event welcomes all women & non-binary folks who feel comfortable in a space centered on women’s experiences. You must be 18 years or older to attend this event.
Please note, this is not a surf lesson. Participants must be able to surf and swim safely and independently in the water/ocean.
About Waves of Color:
We support the next generation of women surf leaders, coaches, mentors, and competitors. We offer scholarships and education in ocean and surf safety education and leadership. 50% of scholarships support women of color 🌸🏄🏽♀️ Visit wavesofcolor.org for more info!
