◕‿↼Come celebrate! Join us for a ribbon cutting, refreshments, a walk through the refreshed museum, and a wander through four acres of one of Central Oregon's most beloved landmarks, the peacocks included.
What's new: Webfoot Home Improvements (2025 Project Serious winner) gave the Rock Garden a $20,000 transformation: fresh paint on the museum interior, all-new flooring throughout, and a brand-new black light floor in the glow room that makes the rocks and the space come alive in a whole new way. Preserve Oregon contributed an additional $10,000 toward a new roof on the historic house on site. This place has been brought back the right way.
The story: Built by Danish immigrant Rasmus Petersen starting in 1935, this four-acre folk art landmark has miniature castles, stone bridges, a fluorescent room full of glowing minerals, and roughly 40 peacocks roaming freely through the grounds.
There is nothing else like it in Central Oregon.
