Join IPF Atid Bay Area for Taco Tuesday with Assaf Orion, a retired brigadier general and defense analyst for the Washington Institute for Near-East Policy. General Orion’s responsibilities in the IDF included being in charge of communication with UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army, leading staff meetings with counterparts from the Pentagon and from other Western militaries, and representing the IDF in talks with the Palestinian Authority. He’ll be joining IPF Atid Bay Area and sharing his analysis on the complex dynamics involving Hezbollah, the evolving geopolitical landscapes shaping Israel’s defense strategies, and other political-military topics relevant to the Middle East.
