Each event features an intimate one-on-one conversation moderated by communications expert and CACNY Board Secretary Lelani Clark, exploring the pivotal moments, bold decisions, and lessons that shaped each speaker’s leadership journey.

Jason Samuels is a notable UC Berkeley alumnus. He is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, executive producer, and tenured professor at the NYU Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. He has produced acclaimed news and documentary programming for ABC News, NBC News, CNN, ESPN, HBO, and Black Entertainment Television (BET). Currently a senior executive producer and consultant at Paramount Global, he co-created the award-winning primetime news magazine series America in Black and co-produced the Netflix documentary A Kid From Coney Island with Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker and star
athlete Kevin Durant.
