Filmmakers Forum is back at a NEW LOCATION for another great night of education and connection. This time, we're THRILLED to welcome acclaimed comedy and commercial director, Carlyn Hudson, as a our special guest speaker! Carlyn Hudson is a comedy director based in LA. She directed over 40 sketches at CollegeHumor and Funny or Die, honing her unique talent for directing performance-focused, cinematic, and often absurd comedic pieces. Three of her short films have premiered at SXSW — including the award-winning, very stupid short, NICE ASS, and WAFFLE, a horror/comedy about the future of friendship that went on to play over 50 additional festivals and a handful of embarrassing/kind comparisons to Jordan Peele. She’s also a proud member of the WGA, having developed features for Netflix, Hulu, and other production outfits. As a commercial director, Carlyn has worked with brands such as JIF (one of Source Creative's top campaigns), Cheerios, Nike, Tinder, and Annovera, whose spot starring Whitney Cummings earned a Cannes Lion. She’s represented by Artists First for film/tv projects, Gifted Youth for commercials in the US, and Caviar in Europe.
