You've been invited to NightTales, a time to have deeper, more intimate conversations with new faces. NightTales hopes to move beyond defining people as synonymous with their livelihood. We are all humans with personalities and emotions - it is easy to forget that. Everyone around us goes through unique experiences, and this kind of event is meant to help everyone who comes to better understand the depth of human experience. If you decide to come to NightTales, you're agreeing to the following: 1. NightTales is at minimum a 2 hour event, of which you have to commit to being there the whole time. No showing up late or leaving early, no exceptions. If you cannot do this then please do not attend as everyone will be paired with someone. 2. Exercise radical vulnerability. If you really don't think you'd be comfortable doing this, no problem at all, but NightTales may not be the right event for you. 3. Upon arriving, there will be three buckets waiting for you, labeled 1 through 3. You'll be asked to take a piece of paper with a question on it out of each to hold onto for the course of the night. Once the event begins, you are free to start talking to anyone else in the room. 4. Any conversation must be initiated by asking each other the question that you pulled out of bucket 1. Once you've both answered that, you'll move on to asking each other the question from bucket 2 and then bucket 3. 5. You cannot ask anybody what they do for a living. 6. Keep your phone off and away. 7. Be consciously empathetic to others' stories, your own included. Keep an open mind.
