Princeton professor Peter Henderson will discuss his research and the most interesting questions in reinforcement learning in conversation with Crosby member of technical staff & Stanford CS PhD candidate Teddi Worledge.
Henderson's research spans reinforcement learning, legal alignment, and how the United States can prepare for a post-AGI world. He earned his JD and CS PhD at Stanford, advised by Dan Jurafsky, before doing research at Meta Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) and launching products at Amazon. Worledge's research centers on how to design LLM systems that users can verify in legal settings.
The discussion will focus on reinforcement learning for long-horizon strategic decision making, human-AI collaboration in legal settings, and alignment in legal settings as the next frontier in AI research.
