FYI: Happy Hour is 5-7pm at Alcove. With the days getting shorter, we will meet at 6:30pm this month (and going forward, likely through springtime).
For December, we're reading Circe by Madeline Miller. This book retells the story of the sorceress from Greek mythology, focusing on her origin and life after her banishment to the island of Aiaia.
If you need to find the book, I highly recommend using the Pango app, which is just like Poshmark but for books (so you are buying used from an individual). I also recommend thriftbooks.com or your local library! The LA library card gets you access to the Libby app for audiobooks as well.
We will gather at Alcove on Hillhurst in Los Feliz. The seating is mostly open-air/outdoor. There are heaters but plan to dress accordingly. There is a full menu of food, drinks, baked goods, and there is even a full bar at night for anyone who wants alc drinks.
Plenty of metered street parking out front or neighborhood street parking nearby.
