Hi everyone! Wanted to share a few logistical updates for our meet-up on Saturday. Parking: There are two large lots at Lake Anza. Given that it is forecasted to be a *perfect* weather day, we recommend carpooling if possible (difficult with car seats, of course!) or building in a little extra time. As a heads up, you may not have cell phone service in Tilden. Where and When to Meet: When you park at Lake Anza, there is a large grassy meadow. We will have a table set up with some snacks from our generous sponsors and should be easy to spot. We’ll take a group pic at 10:15 and then head out to adventure! Feel free to stay and picnic afterwards to enjoy the beautiful day. Adventure Options: There are several options from our meeting point, and we expect to have groups departing for each one. For the hikes, we recommend a carrier (front or back), as these are not stroller friendly. We’d love for people to volunteer to be route captains to help us organize! 1. Difficult: Wildcat Gorge, Meadows Canyon- 3.5 miles 2. Moderate: Lake Anza to Lone Oak via Wildcat Gorge- 2 miles 3. Easier but a little spicy: Lake Anza Loop (involves mild scrambling once or twice- I did it with a baby in a backpack but would caution anyone not feeling steady) 4. Totally Chill Option: Stroll around the area, hang out in the grassy meadow, or catch up by the beach Beach: The beach itself is $5 for adults and $3 for children. ——- Come nurture the friendships you already have, make new ones, and spend a beautiful morning surrounded by moms who get it. Join us for a choose-your-own-adventure outing with three baby-friendly options: a 3-mile loop hike, a 0.7-mile walk around the lake, or simply meet us at the beach to relax. Whether you’re wearing your baby, pushing a stroller, or just looking for a reason to get outside, there’s a place for you. We’ll all gather afterward for a picnic on the beach to share lunch, connect, and continue building the village we’re creating together. Bring a blanket, your lunch, and your little one(s)—we can’t wait to see you there.
