COOK CLUB LA PRESENTS: THE SANDWICH SWAP 🥪 A sandwich-themed gathering where guests bring homemade sandwiches to share, sample, and swap with fellow food lovers. For this month’s Cook Club, we’re celebrating one of the world’s most beloved foods: the sandwich. Each guest will bring a homemade sandwich to share with the group. Think beyond sliced bread—this is your chance to interpret the theme however you’d like. What counts as a sandwich? Think: • tea sandwiches • Cubanos • bánh mì • focaccia sandwiches • tortas • muffulettas • grilled cheese • breakfast sandwiches • pita sandwiches • wraps • sliders • open-faced sandwiches • family recipes and creative originals As always, the goal is to share something homemade, discover new flavors, swap ideas, and connect with other passionate cooks from around Los Angeles. We’ll kick off the afternoon with a hands-on quick-pickling station where guests can create and take home their own jar of pickled vegetables—the perfect sandwich companion. Then we’ll open the swap, sample one another’s creations, announce our raffle winner, and finish with a limited edition ice cream sandwich featuring local partners MUTTS and The Very Best Cookie. Your ticket includes: • entry to the sandwich swap + social • hands-on pickling station • limited edition ice cream sandwich • curated sponsor goodies + samples • raffle entry for a $100+ prize • professional event photography • homemade sandwich tastings from fellow guests • new recipes, inspiration, and connections Please bring enough portions of your homemade sandwich for the group to sample. This could mean 24 tea sandwiches, 24 slider halves, 24 small wedges of a larger sandwich, or any other format that’s easy to serve and enjoy. The goal is for everyone to get a taste. This event is in Mar Vista. Attendance is limited. Your spot will be confirmed once payment is received. If your plans change and you’re no longer able to attend, please update your RSVP as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. One Rule: Everything brought to Cook Club must be homemade. If you sign up for a sandwich now, know that it can absolutely change as inspiration strikes. 12:00pm–1:00pm Arrival, sandwich setup, pickling station and mingling 1:00pm–2:00pm Introductions, sandwich swap and tasting, raffle winner announcement, and ice cream sandwiches
