Join us for Hands That Remember, a kamayan dinner party with Shala Social Club.
An evening centered on the idea that in the diaspora, though we may be imperfect with the specifics of certain cultural practices, tradition lives in the body: passed down through touch, taste, and instinct. We’ll gather around a shared table, eat with our hands, and reconnect with a way of eating that predates forks, plates, and the formality we know today.
