"Movies are our way of telling God what we think about this world and our place in it." - Josh Larsen
It’s Oscars Month at Cinema Church — a time when storytelling takes center stage and we celebrate the power of film to move, challenge, and inspire us.
This month, we’ll be watching Oscar-nominated film, Sentimental Value, a thought-provoking film that explores memory, meaning, and the emotional weight we attach to the things we hold onto. Through layered storytelling and rich character moments, the film invites us to reflect on identity, loss, longing, and what truly holds value in our lives.
After the screening, we’ll gather for guided conversation, exploring the deeper themes of the film and how they intersect with faith, culture, and our everyday lives.
Whether you’re a film lover, spiritually curious, or simply looking for meaningful community, this is a space to slow down, reflect, and connect.
Join us for an evening of cinema, conversation, and thoughtful reflection.
Doors will open at 6:30PM and the film will begin promptly at 7pm at the Blue House. Popcorn and sparkling water will be provided. Feel free to bring food/snacks/drinks to share! 🍬🍭🍫🍕🥟🥜🥤
